Art Advisory: Private access. Informed decisions. Exceptional works.

I work closely with a select group of collectors and family offices around the world, helping them source and acquire works that are often difficult to find and rarely make it onto the open market.

Over the years, I have built a trusted network of collectors, galleries, artists, advisors and dealers internationally. It is these relationships, and the access that comes with them, that allow me to find sought-after, rare and off-market works by some of the world’s leading artists.

Finding the work is only part of what I do.

I spend time understanding my clients, their collections and what they are looking to achieve. Sometimes that means finding a very specific work, sometimes it is identifying an opportunity they may not have considered, and sometimes it is simply advising them when I think they should — or shouldn’t — buy something.

Alongside the established artists I deal in, I have always been interested in discovering artists earlier in their careers. I foster relationships with a small number of artists I genuinely believe in, giving my clients the opportunity to see and acquire work before it reaches a much wider audience.

The advisory side of Mustard Contemporary is intentionally kept small. I want to know the people I work with, understand their collections and be able to contact them directly when something exceptional crosses my desk.

For that reason, I generally work with new advisory clients through invitation or referral.

Some of the best opportunities in the art market are never publicly available.

My advisory clients are often the first people I call when they appear.
