LOOKING TO SELL?

Selling an artwork isn’t always as straightforward as simply putting it on the market. Different works require different approaches, and understanding where, when and how to sell can have a significant impact on the result.

With over a decade of experience in the art world and a network of collectors, dealers and clients around the world, I take a very personal approach to every work I’m asked to consider.

It starts with a conversation.

I’ll look at the work, its provenance, condition and current market, and give you my view on value and, importantly, the best strategy for selling it. Depending on the artwork, that might mean making you a direct offer, placing it privately with a collector, or taking it on consignment and presenting it discreetly to the right people within my network.

Sell Directly

For certain works, I am able to make a direct offer and purchase the artwork outright.

This can be the simplest route for clients looking for a straightforward, discreet sale without the time or uncertainty involved in taking a work to the wider market.

There is no obligation and any initial conversation is completely confidential.

Private Consignment

For other works, particularly where I believe there is an opportunity to achieve a stronger result through my network, private consignment may be the better approach.

I manage the entire process personally — from understanding the work and agreeing a realistic strategy, through to discreetly presenting it to collectors and clients internationally, negotiating the sale and managing payment, logistics and delivery.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to selling art. Sometimes the right strategy is about reach, sometimes timing, and sometimes it is simply knowing the right person to speak to.

If you have an artwork or collection you are considering selling, I’d be very happy to have an informal conversation, free of charge and without obligation, to see if I can help.
